They were marked"Profile" and I got them from my friend,Mike who owned "Sony's Appliance" a major GE dealer in orlando who gave them to me free!!They had been dropped off the delivery truck and he was going to scrap them still in the box!!I took them home and the only issue was a little deent on the left side of the dryer.I had them a few months and my friend,Liz who was a kitchen designer at Home Depot,had purchased a kitchenAid Ensemble pair for a steal but didn't measure the depth so they were too deep for her new home and we swapped her K'Aid for my GEs.I did like the K'Aids and the drawers they had uderneath but had some issues with the dryer door not being in line and it was a bitch reversing the door on that damned dryer.So,when I moved to Texas,I had to set them across from each other and that made me sell them for $1800 and replace them with a nice L.G. I replaced them with a Frigidaire set that lasted me 7 years.I sold them to a married lesbian couple who still have them and got a GE set made by Frigidaire similar but a little more deluxe.
I have had all types of washing machines.New and old.I will never go back to the top loaders.I check my pockets,shake my clothes before loading them and always use the correct measure of detergents,bleaches and fabric softners.The only front loader i ever had that I was not happy with was a brand new Sears Kenmore Elite made for Sears by Frigidaire.It's barings went and there was an issue with Sears service plan I purchased and they cancelled w/out telling me a damned thing.So,as I phoned them for service a year and two months after i bought them,Sears wanted to charge my account $766 for a new set of parts needed to repair it.I took Sears to court and got all my money back.I know for a fact that Sears has othere companies make the Kenmore but to their(Sears) specifications.
