I have the CH Products USB Yoke & Rudder Pedals, I've gone into the B-17's game control settings and "programmed" them to respond to said yoke and pedals. a "test flight" in the Training Mission reveals that very few "yoke" commands work and some of the rather important keyboard commands aren't active, either. like L/R Steering Brakes, Park Brake- Red Banner says it's "ON", but the plane revs up and taxi's on it's own! Ending the "mission". I can control the throttle (-/+) even tho I "programmed" the throttle on the yoke to handle that duty. (I even tried setting the yoke's throttle to handle the Port Engines and the yoke's Prop/RPM to handle the Starboard Engines. I've even gone in and restored the default settings without success.
So, I'm wondering what the secret is to actually using the yoke & pedals to fly this beautiful warbird?Īny and all help/advice gratefully appreciated.

The computer automatically takes over the plane by default or when you switch views or positions, take back control by pressing M. I too just recently grabbed this game and so far haven't really hand flown the bird much.
